Meet our CEO & Lead Consultant : Michelle Lewis (Mondesir)

Michelle Lewis is the owner of L.E.A.R.N Coaching & Consulting, for over 15 years, she has served multiple schools with large populations of Title I, Black and Latino children, English language learners, and immigrant families. She has experience as a network leader, school leadership coach, teacher coach, workshop designer and facilitator, edTPA evaluator, curriculum writer and history educator. Michelle has supported, supervised and coached novice and veteran leaders, teachers and non-instructional staff to build their capacity.  She has expertise in creating systems and learning experiences to enable those she supports to be successful. 

She was previously the Associate Director for Performance Management & Development at New Visions where she has held multiple roles during her 11 year tenure. She has a M.S.Ed in educational leadership from Brooklyn College, a M.A from NYU and a B.A from Hunter College.  Her career has been a complete commitment to working with adults who want to continue to LEARN.

Meet Our Consultant: Vernon David

Vernon is an educator with almost 15 years of experience. He holds NYS certifications in Secondary Mathematics and School Building Leadership. He has experience as a math teacher, department leader, new teacher mentor/coach and edTPA evaluator. He also has extensive experience as an assessment coordinator at both the school and network level. He has a M.Ed in educational leadership from Columbia University's Teachers College, a MST from PACE University, a ME from CUNY: City College and a B.S from LeTourneau University.

Meet Our Consultant: Porsche Cox


Porsche is a student-oriented, results-driven leader with 20+ years of experience in metropolitan districts and charter schools. She has proven experience developing and coordinating mission-driven and vision-oriented instructional programs. Expert knowledge and use of data-driven decision-making to increase student achievement; and strategic resource allocation to support school-wide goals. She is a skillful communicator and motivator with a focus on improving leader and teacher practice through observation, feedback, and adaptive coaching. In her current role, she provides 1:1 coaching support to school leaders aimed at helping leaders strategize critical elements of school leadership that can be leveraged to take action on recommendations and action steps from school observation visits. Coaching is connected to leading instructional transformation at school sites, supporting leaders in understanding how to co-construct, leverage, and/or refine their school’s orientation to instruction.
